You just sit there don't you???

You Just Sit There Don’t You?

You just sit there don’t you?

Never mobile, never a caring stare,

Never do you fear a tear,

Or share the flare,

Or shed a tear,

You just sit there don’t you?

Comfortable, not a single worry to bring woe at all,

Woeful we are,

Independent but interdependent of your contemporaries you are,

Still, standing, Steadfast, stolen in stance,

You are not yourself now,

You are borrowed, taken, oblivious to your spontaneous life expectancy vow,

Your mine, all mine,

Keeping your body clean and making your nose shine,

I do it presently,

Through the said shared flare omnipresent in me,

You just sit there don’t you?

Envious one is of you,

Especially the way you are endless and blink-less with view,

I try to just sit here don’t I?

However, I am always noticed,

Sticking out like the only pupil in a group of eyes,

Throw this,

Yes it is my heart,

However you just sit there, never here, always a hand length apart,

I Love You!

Sit as you wish,

Never be abyss,

Reliable as no other,

Don’t know your sex, but I swear you’re my brother,

Ignorantly had one, ignorantly lost one,

But you stay stationary, excuse the pun!

Paradoxically, lyrically, you are my friend,

So you just sit there don’t you? my emotion filled pen.

Flight-we never know when the end is.....

Flight

Wow! How do you fly?

Look how you soar so high!

You eloquently excel your flock,

I will not be green eyed,

Justify jealousy to be vile,

Rather learn your technique,

Spread my span splendidly carbon,

I wish my journey to reach that higher mountain top!

Wow, from your sophisticated flight fluctuations,

You are allowed successful twirls, twists and turns,

Masterful manipulation but materialistic; stop showing off!

Not really! I do not blame you,

However you are not me,

From your incessant injuries, come my intuitiveness,

Change that which you do wrong to that, which I will do right,

Improving mine, by correcting the errors of your flight,

Increasing modesty and enforcing moderation in my flare,

Now look how I fly!

I’m nearly there,

I crafted a creation I’ve craved at high altitude,

Look at that fierce flying fortitude!,

Wings flapping flying up the higher key to the mountain top door,

I will reach there even before those I have carbon rated,

And yet I am so much younger,

But hold on!

What is that no flyer pointing at me?

BANG BANG!

Cross Cultural conversing-"I gine talk"

Barbadian dialect:-

I gine talk!

I’s a man dat dissect issues like souse!

Wid a knife and fork,

So being dis man I got no choice,

I gine talk!

I love to learn, like to get teach,

But I sorry what dem wan teach bout race I impeach,

Dem say Multiculturalism,

AH WHAT DE RAN GEORGE!

Tek one glance at my tree, wunna see multiculturalism forge,

We in a racial jail,

Learn each oder Culture dem say de bail,

I say look at Redman’s ingredients,

I is as de majority, a fruit cocktail,

I gine talk!

Me great grandfader he white as chalk,

Me grandmoder she coolly!

Me oder grandmoder OUI! PAPA! BOUJAIS! She jet black,

Wunna wan learn Cultures tek a step back,

Everyting I say I mean, no matter how vicious,

All dem badminding pon we, wunna too damn malicious!

Intelligible and intelligent speech I gifted wid too,

I ent support no separation,

We must embrace everyone no matter where or which hue.

Normal Englsh dialectal translation:-

I must speak!

I am a man to query qualms,

Such as a labourer with unclean palms,

I favour the feeling of involvement,

Therefore I must speak!

For enrichment of the mind I have a passion,

However the way in which race is taught is of a farcical fashion,

They say Multiculturalism is the rationale, OH MY DEAR!

Just look at your biological background, multiculturalism is right there!

We are in racial entrapment,

Learning other cultures is the recommended disattachment,

Look at my inherent multi-racial relation,

I am like many a colour combination,

I must speak!

My half white grandfather died, I still weep,

My Grandmother is an actual West INDIAN!

While the other is a very dark Dominican,

Wish to learn Culture, look to yourself to find that which you are seeking,

I will look and endeavour elsewhere within civilisation,

Everyone can equally use versatile verbalisation.

Take how you visualise us with careful consideration,

I am blunt, I speak without procrastination,

I say it exactly how it is, boldly brutal,

Those that view us with spiteful contempt, Try to be neutral!

I can also speak linguistically lavish,

Do not segregate,

Rather unify, in favour to those attitudes that are savage.

Media Practices

Media Practices

Media Metaphorically informs me,

Media Practices practically bore me,

Is it me or am I seeing double,

Double, doubly constantly,

Formulation rekindled and reiterated for ratings,

I believe that one should not speak just to say things.

Purpose and meaning should be insisted,

However with that which was never present, how could you have missed it?

But as a self professed thespian, I value Stanislavskian Stead,

As an early avid and advanced reader I appreciate talented transcription,

I am not compromised, but neither am I bemused,

I fall bracketed as the majority and find myself also amused,

Am I therefore another attention seeker whom emulates my famed counterparts from the eye of the public?

Is this the example set?

Is the Media a threat?

Discriminatory?

Roots of Racism are in the Media Practices,

Misunderstanding, or is it blatant xenophobia that it is,

Contorted Reportage is the perplex,

What should I believe upon request?

Stay indifferent, unbiased in decision,

I wonder is it me or you that control that, which I have written,

That, which is written,

That which leave the impressionable public smitten,

The Media practices a jumbled journal of juxtapositions,

Writing from their own oval opinionated positions,

Or are we just fishing?

For an excuse that does not include our selves,

But instead elude our selves from the equation to pass the blame,

Momentum and unconscious inspiration direct my hand to paint reality,

However the emotive uncontrolled swipes of my pen cannot eradicate the Media manipulated partiality!

The media Practices?

What?

LOOK!, SEE!, HEAR!, READ!,

Make your own decision!

Are You Mixed Race?

Are You Mixed Race?

Are you mixed race?

Nah, I’m not you know!

Oh! That’s mad you sure look it though!

Yes, I know I’m always told,

Are you mixed race?

No, I’m just light skin,

Wow! Thought you were, you got sort of a white grin,

What?

Well my Granddad is half white so I’m………….

Your what?

I’m lighter skinned.

Are you mixed race?

No! Not at all, look better at my face,

I don’t understand,

I’m just light skin man!

So how come your older sister’s hair is coolly,

Your mixed race you can’t fool me?

Nah, but my other Grandmother is half Guyanese,

And a lot of these people are Indian, you see?

So you are mixed race then?

No, like both my parents I’m black, Do I need to say it again!

But both your parents have mixes,

Hence your family’s lighter shade in pictures,

Well Yes, you are right,

Well then call us Black people, who are light,

I concur, you are correct that you are still black,

However any black person with light skin is mixed and that’s that!

Oh Okay! I’ll agree before this has the chance to worsen,

Look just because you are light, mixed, or whatever, it doesn’t make you any less of a black person!

So are you mixed race?

It’s very far back, but I have a mixed heritage, so I guess I am,

Yes, you are but you are part of something bigger, the Human race,

Be proud of yourself and everything that you have, Embrace,

I do and I’m proud of my family, so I guess I’m proud to be of mixed race.

What is it all about?

What is it all about?

The smiles, the frowns,

The artificial official,

Making my paper sizzle,

Or indeed fizzle out,

Please!

What is it all about?

Lives, Deaths,

Foes, friends,

Family; some play the friend to me,

Some play the enemy,

I struggle to find the perimeter,

Boundary of which to assess the diameter,

I thought I knew it all,

Down to how birds fly and spiders crawl,

Ignorant to the facts left out,

Without an aerodynamic or gravity doubt,

We do not have control over all,

Instead, we central possess control over nothing at all.

We think we know what it is all about in a microcosm,

But it’s much bigger and more contradictory complex than Catechism,

What it is about resembles a bout,

Between two, rivalling in a different radical rout,

Actually more than two,

But I’ve tried to simplify the logarithmic length to you,

I do not believe as rational choice theorisers,

The truth can enter our mind and not undermine us,

Undermine the mind and leave madness underlined,

Because what it is all about,

Ears cannot decipher, it is too high a decibel shout.

Involved? or Implicated?

Involved? Or Implicated?

I am actually not involved,

Not in that cycle, as the world revolves,

Attachments to detachments,

It becomes decimated, decreased to fractions,

Amazing it may seem to them,

However crazy are the themes that stem.

What on earth are you talking about?

Incredible! Incredulous! Whenever ajar becomes the mouth,

Going in, coming out,

There it goes again! Giving another unrelated idea sprout,

SHOUT!

But appearing again is decimation as decibels are mirages,

Striving to juxtapose and create the collages!

I am actually not implicated,

Hysteria that is hypocrisy in its basis,

Hypothesis from Marx to Socrates,

Relating? Slight? or are they knock kneed?

Perplexing ones own self,

I understand if you’ve gained muteness, as a worrier gains writing wealth.

Alright, if you do this? I’ll do that,

If more of us gain weight, will you want fat?

I speak as the Agent and you record this as the processor,

Or is it vice versa and I copy you, ultimately highlighting my status as lesser,

Dupes or dopes,

It seems if they all lynched, we would all grab for the ropes.

As was done before,

Therefore,

Are you involved?

And or

Are you implicated?

The African

The African

The African does not wish for specialty,

The African wishes just for entitled dignity,

We have had slavery then oppression and the list goes on,

But The African wishes to commence, and on their pedestal, leave the foes on,

Commencement is wished, Amendment is missed,

The African is sick of preconceptions, pity and is p***d!

A wish to now be known as an unnoticed part of community,

You’ve had your Voyeurism! Thus, colonialism has provided immunity,

The African wants no longer this title,

They are the same, just darker and wish to end the cycle,

Let us now then leave this mentality behind,

The African can and will show correlative power of mind,

They do the same and have the same,

Just variations in technique and in name,

They were never taught Art,

Hence inspiration directs that, which they carve,

Music is naturally created with every day finds,

Fruits for example are dried out to contribute to euphonious chimes,

African nature has provided individualistic living,

African nurture has coincided with an optimistic giving.

African contributed to all we have and know,

Without it, there would not be half of what there is to sow,

British, Spanish, French and Italian empires have all prospered,

While Post colonial Africa still needs to be fostered,

Thus, is it wrong for one to wish to shed the separation?

Go on an in themselves find personal alleviation,

Africa is the motherland for all it has bore,

Therefore respect its offspring, and let them spread wings and soar,

Slavery Story-The whole FACTual story

Slavery

To reveal slavery explicitly,

We must delve to the start of its history,

Civilisation of ancient Sumer was maintained by slavery in 3500 B.C,

It would seem predisposed that those seen as underneath superiority,

Like the slaves of Egypt 2000 B.C are stopped from advancement and owning as little a commodity as property.

It is ironic how fundamental to society were and are ‘migrants’?

Such as the slaves of Greece 750 B.C captured by pirates,

753 B.C started the African Invasion by Rome taking 2 million,

Taken from the Sahara and the North, born to a slave made you a slave, no matter how normal a civilian,

Some retained humanely humility, freeing slaves with demeanour,

404 B.C, 8,000 freed by a Roman Christian woman Messalina,

However many could not wait for divine intervention,

135 B.C Sicily, 6,000 slaves rebel stating their own prevention,

Some of you whom call yourself European might be a slave descendent,

In 73 B.C, Spartacus owned a group of Celtic, Thracian and German slaves, but this is no appeasing amendment,

Religion is a contested issue, especially in its previous state,

Especially when you realise in 395 A.D British pagan slave boys were purchased by Pope Gregory the Great,

In 1402, Canary Islands were discovered and utilised,

Through forced African Labour of whom the Portuguese colonised,

1447 With local African rulers, agreements were made,

For slaves and goods, In 1485 Benin started the trade,

1492 Columbus discovers the “New World” supposedly,

However in 1494, Spanish were denied access to colonisation, due to a French treaty,

An influx of slaves was none the less due to Spain,

In 1510 King Ferdinand purchases from Portuguese, 250 African slaves,

For those of us who notice difference in West Indian dialects, look to 1562,

Englishman John Hawkins, orchestrated the massive accumulation of slaves from Africa to the Spanish colonies in the West Indies too,

An eighty year war, Dutch against Portuguese, 1568 to 1648,

The prize being parts of Brazil and African slave supplying areas, whose purposes were deemed innate,

The Dutch won continuing to import slaves to North America, which will leave most irate,

Around 89,000 imported slaves, 1672 marked the British Royal Africa Society,

Establishing forts on the African coasts starting 1673,

In 1730 Britain’s inevitable dominance arises, and between 1690 and 1807, 2.8 million slaves were traded,

In 1737, 700 slaves on wrecked Dutch ship Leusden never made it,

1760 marked two important events with 425,000 Africans taken to Cuba and Brazil by USA,

The other was ‘Tacky’s Rebellion’, a revolt in the British Caribbean colonies resulting in a very bloody day,

Slaves being thrown overboard on ships were a regular occurrence,

But 1781, The ‘Zong’ atrocity was different, 232 slaves thrown overboard for compensation insurance,

Haiti’s year was 1791, burning over a thousand plantations and killing many, of whom were white,

Many more blacks were killed in response, but slavery was abolished by the French because a looming Spanish-English invasion induced fright,

Blindness is rare, but in 1799 upon French ship La Rodeur 39 slaves suffered,

Going blind resulting in them being thrown overboard and this stayed covered,

The 1800’s marked supposed abolitions of slavery, 1807 was the British,

1817 British compensate Spain £400,000 to end this,

In 1822 a slave rebellion was led by Denmark Vassey in South Carolina, USA,

1823, 47 slaves hanged in Demerara in one day,

1832, 100 Jamaican slaves were executed after revolt,

1833, Duke Wellington opposing abolition showed the bill having no result.

However August 29th, Abolition becomes law in Britain properly,

£20 million was paid in compensation for loss of ‘property’,

A revolt on Kentucky, the American ship led to their torment in accord,

1844, 46 men, 1 woman, were mutilated, hung while alive, shot and thrown overboard,

1862, Slavery abolished in all US federal territories,

1888, Brazil does the same starting the end to the sad stories,

1962, Saudi Arabia is last in world to pass a law of abolition,

1964, Africans in Zanzibar bloodily kill their Arab oppressors in one night to avenge their mission.

This is the story of slavery,

We must recognise those who stood up to show bravery,

Most of us could never do this and with such propriety,

Delete racism, celebrate abolition and bring cohesiveness to present society.

Up and Down

Up and Down

Up and Down,
Side to side, round and round,
Fits in the blazing sun,
WOO! It’s amazing fun,

Gravity force, reacts and contracts,
Heavily paused from deep contacts,
WOOSH in the air,
THUD back down to here,

Up and down but still there’s doubts,
A need to get the ins and outs,
WOAH!
The thrusting feeling as they converge,
An intensifying cloud of comfort,
But yet electrifying, it can hurt!

Up then down, increasing levitation,
Landing becomes heavy, decreasing alleviation,
The rod of correction never ceases to stop,
It does not care; it wants to have fun on top,
FUN! FUN! FUN!
So, when will protecting one’s self become a commonality?
Too much Up and Down can lead to oblivious fatality,

Go on; fly high as a bird,
Keep in mind that which has previously occurred,
Live life with FUN!
However do not let Up and Down spoil the length of your run,
If continence is not known, instead of Up and Down, veer left to right,
To avoid selfish spite; as this can ultimately lead to the loss of life.
